ISLAMABAD, Sept 13: As many as 125 officers of Islamabad police have been promoted in next grades.
During the promotion ceremony, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi urged them to discharge their enhanced responsibilities with integrity and dedication.
According to a police spokesperson, the ceremony was organised on the special directives of the IGP to honour the promoted officers.
IGP Rizvi and DIG Headquarters Muhammad Jawad Tariq, along with other senior police officers, pinned the rank of Inspector on the officers promoted to the rank.
Speaking on the occasion, the IGP said the promotions were recognition of the officers’ hard work, professional capabilities and dedicated service. He said the new ranks also brought greater responsibilities and expectations.
He directed the promoted officers to perform their duties with commitment, honesty and professionalism, while keeping the rule of law and merit as their foremost priorities.
The IGP also called upon the officers to further improve their professional skills and performance so that the quality of policing in the federal capital could be enhanced.
He stressed the importance of courteous and respectful behaviour towards citizens and directed the officers to ensure prompt resolution of public complaints and provision of quality police services.
Protecting the lives and property of citizens and ensuring timely justice remained among the top priorities of the Islamabad Police, Rizvi said.
