Security has been tightened in the federal capital, Islamabad, in anticipation of the potential arrival of Iranian and American delegations for talks, and the police have issued important instructions to citizens.
Police sources stated that extraordinary security arrangements have been put in place to ensure the safety of the aircraft carrying high-level delegations, and police personnel will be deployed on rooftops.
Regarding the security measures, it has been reported that special security protocols have been enforced within the jurisdictions of the New Town, Sadiqabad, and Chaklala police stations. It has been decided that, in the first phase, restaurants in these three police station limits in Rawalpindi will remain closed from 12:00 midnight until further orders. Decisions have also been made to keep restaurants, parks, beauty parlors, and markets closed.
Police sources added that snooker clubs, fitness gyms, pan shops, kiosks, barber shops, banks, and bakeries will also remain closed until further orders. Similarly, there will be a complete ban on flying drones, aerial firing, and pigeon flying. The police have begun distributing warning notices to all markets.
These security measures have been implemented in major areas within the twin cities, including Islamabad and parts of Rawalpindi (specifically near New Town, Sadiqabad, and Chaklala Cantt). Please plan your movements accordingly as these restrictions remain in effect until further notice.
